VISION
To transform lives and foster community collaboration through the power of sports, creating a supportive environment where every individual, regardless of their background, can thrive and achieve their full potential.
MISSION
To use soccer as a tool for positive change in the lives of disadvantaged and marginalized groups. We engage, motivate, and reintegrate individuals facing challenges such as homelessness, refugee status, addiction, mental health issues, and social exclusion. Our mission addresses housing, health, and employment issues through collaborative partnerships and data-driven programs.
OUR IMPACT
At the Canadian Street Soccer Association (CSSA), we use the power of soccer to create positive change in the lives of individuals facing barriers such as homelessness, refugee status, addiction, mental health struggles, and social isolation.
We work alongside shelters, community organizations, universities, government agencies, and sports clubs to offer meaningful, accessible programs that support participants on their journey toward housing, health, purpose, and connection.
Our year-round programming includes weekly inclusive soccer sessions, local and national tournaments, international opportunities like the Homeless World Cup, and support through training, mentoring, and rehabilitation. All our efforts are grounded in research and driven by lived experience.
Through sport, we build community, restore dignity, and create pathways for growth—on and off the field.

Representing Canada at the Homeless World Cup
CSSA players represent Canada at the transformative Homeless World Cup tournament, held annually.
Players facing homelessness and social exclusion will now have the chance to represent Canada in upcoming tournaments under the umbrella of the Homeless World Cup.
The Homeless World Cup is more than just a football tournament; it’s a purpose-driven event. Their year-round efforts lead up to a world-class tournament that not only changes the lives of participants but also influences global attitudes toward homelessness. Using football as a universal language, the Homeless World Cup aims to create a world without homelessness.
